90° is the angle the stanchion stands at, measured from the roof surface — the catalogue writes it as “90° upward”. 90° stands the stanchion square to the roof; 70° sets the same stanchion 20° off square. That is the whole difference between this configuration and the 70° version: the two carry the same parts in the same quantities, and the same assembly mass.
