The number at the end of a configuration name is the angle the stanchion stands at, measured from the roof surface. Here is what changes between the two, and what does not.

what the number is

The catalogue writes both as “upward”: 90° upward stands the stanchion square to the roof surface, 70° upward sets the same stanchion 20° off square. Nothing else in the name changes — the base shape, the module pitch and the ballast tile spec are all still stated separately.

Every configuration in this catalogue is one or the other. The angle is part of the configuration name, so once you know which one you have, you can read it off the slug.

what else changes

Across all 20 pairs in this build, nothing else does. Each 70° configuration and its 90° counterpart carry the same parts in the same quantities and the same assembly mass. The angle is a geometry choice, not a different bill of materials.

What this page cannot tell you is which angle to specify. That depends on the roof and the load case, and this catalogue publishes neither. Take the drawings and the declaration of performance to your structural engineer, or ask us.
